But things have changed! Within 3 days I have all my addons 100% compatible. So I’ve got no problems anymore, so I really recommend this, try Firefox 3 dude!

Well… The answer is of course it could. The process seems to be working for me, so these are what I found out so far:

Making a Frontpage

The first thing I want to do is to make my blog page into my second menu page not the main page or home page. If you’re using WordPress ver 2.5.0 above you can easily modified this. Just log into the admin panel and go to settings - reading, and you’ll find Front Page Displays customization. Before you do this, you should have write 2 pages. First page is the homepage (you can write title Home for example) which will display on your frontpage, and the second is your blog page (you just need to write the title) which will display your post page in second menu.

Customizing the Sidebar

Ok, Now you have a frontpage, the next thing is to customize your sidebar. Sidebar is the other column that showing your other information. A frontpage should describes only the purpose of your website and what do you want to offer to the visitors. It’s also display your latest news or latest projects. In WordPress default you can’t customize your sidebar into different contents for each pages. For example you don’t want to display your recent comments, recent trackbacks, or arhive on your frontpage. So how do we do this?

Here is the tricky one, you can customize your sidebar contents by using the conditional method. I’ve finally found out that each pages have their own ID except the blog page. So before you using the method, you must know your each page’s ID. You can easily find out by adding this magnificent script into your page.php:

This script will display your page’s ID on each pages. So the next step is putting the conditional script on you sidebar.php by using $page_id variable. For the example my homepage’s ID is 47 and my workpage’s ID is 19, and I don’t want to put recent comments information on those pages, so I insert:

The script above makes my homepage and workpage won’t display the recent comments information. But it appears only on my blog page. Pretty cool huh?

But if you’re using custom permalinks, the things will much easier. You don’t need to find out your page’s ID because it is the same as your page’s title. The different is you must use $pagename for determine the value. Here goes for example:

It’ll give the same result. For more information about conditional statements you can check here and for logical operator check here.

However, if you’re using widget you can’t customize the contents, unless you determine each function into a single widget or more which are little complicated. Thats why I prefer use standalone script.

Page Links to

If you have another site like flickr, facebook, last.fm etc and you want to integrate it in your WordPress page, Page links to maybe the simplest way to do that. It’s also good for making link to sections of a page, rather than an entirely separate page.

Voila, now you have your own website

When I heard it for the first time, Man!! This band is awesome!!! Its rock on my life now!! This might be my top favorite JRock band behind Laruku, Maximum the Hormone, or Asian Kung-Fu Generation. Its so energic! Its reminds me of LinkinPark (especially Lost Reason) and here are some of my reviews:

• HOWLING - Really love this, its straight to punch your head off with great arrangement song
• INNOCENT SORROW - Great song and makes you to play it over and over again, also this is the opening theme to the anime D.Gray-man, never watch it though
• DOWN TO YOU - At first I thought this is an English Song, I love the way Takanori’s singing the song. Awesome and Energic!
• LOST REASON - Amazing song that reminds me of LinkinPark. Its a rap rock colaboration with MICRO from HOME MADE KAZOKU My God! the Japanese rap is awesome!!
• BLADE CHORD - Wonderfull song with old Japanese touch.

Those are the best song from Band to me, the rest also wonderful and it has an energic instrument song (Rebirth + Reverse). Love them, They’re incredible!!

That was a piece of our conversation, and if you notice that my friend’s mouth was infected by Indonesian advertisement Apparently this phenomena isn’t just happened to him but also to my friends lately.

Actually this is exactly what the Companies want. They try to make their products become trend by making a stupid or funny words in its advertisement. The things like “kasih daah” or “ya iyalah” or “apa kata dunia” already spreading in our conversation and for those who don’t use it, will be marked “kurang gaul”. WTF??

There is nothing wrong with the method, but if we look at the quality of most of Indonesian advertisement, I think it’s sucks. Try to compare with 28 Extremely Creative Advertisement I have Ever Seen! and that’s what I call unique, striking and creative advertisement!

My friend Ade had an accident. Not because of his fault but he got from somebody’s reckless! Ade was on a ride by his bike at denpasar. In a front of him there was a guy smoking on a car. Suddenly the man throw the smoke’s ashes away from his car and HIT ade’s right eye!! The ashes was hot and burn the lens of his right eye make it blind right away. He was screaming painfully and try to pull over of his bike. The bad thing is the man who did this didn’t know what’s about to happen and left normally.

Another story for Jaka. He was a friend of mine too. A couple days ago he got a fever and cough. He think that’s normal coz he had it frequently. But this time it was different, the fever can’t gone and the cough got worse. He also feels sweaty. He already had a normal medicine and got some exercise but it didn’t make him feel better. He start to wonder what’s wrong with himself when he got blood on his cough! With his sister he check up to the doctor and guess what, he was infected TBC!

Well, life is surely tough but should we complain? Hell no! Sometimes we had things that we hardly to understand, but we shouldn’t complain. I heard on TV when gasoline’s price is gonna rise and we got contradiction everywhere! what a waste! I mean what we suppose to do? We already know that the price of gasoline of the world is up, so stop complaining the problems. Maybe I was to political on this, but for me we should focus on solving the problems. How? I don’t know, but I believe with the government and I’ll support it.

Now Ade already feel better, he didn’t feel pain anymore. He can see with his right eye but still blurry. Jaka concentrate with the therapy for six month. Yeah! Good luck for you guys, I’ve learn a lot of things from both of you. From now on, I’ll stop complaining, try to think forward and positively, and always be prepared for the worse.

December 2007

My credits (aka SKS) were almost full, I’ve finished all my subjects except the final exam and “Kerja Praktek”. So, I’m gonna propose my idea for final exam. My idea was “Otomation System of Library with Barcode Identifier Model study case at Tabanan”. Cool huh? I’m really excited that time.

So, without any delay, i talked with my lecturer (I called Mr.X from now on), and then:

What? What is this? Library? Again? I don’t like it. I’m bored of information system. There is a lot of your friends idea as same as like you! I need something new! I don’t want information system anymore. I refuse it!!

…. Umm… Okay, I can accept that (without any excuse). Then I ask his recommendation, I was given a list contains of his idea. I read it and none of those were Information System type. Okay, I’ve choose this: “WAVE file Compression with Huffman Method”.

Actually the first idea was a project given by Bawa who worked at Tabanan public library. So I hold out my proposal and focus to the project

Finally my project is done, and I start to create my second proposal. When I’m ready for the test suddenly my instructor (the one who gives me the recommendation) was sick. He had a yellow fever. Poor him, but the schedule has been made, I must go forward to the test. So I had a test without him as an instructor (simply without backup), and then:

You’re idea is outdated. WAVE format is already left behind. I disagree with the concept, we can’t let you go further, sorry

Said Mr.Y (another lecturer). What?? You gotta be kidding me! WAVE is a RAW format that has always been a basic for creating another sound format, you bitch! Moreover this is not my idea! This is Mr.X idea! But I’m helpless coz he wasn’t there.

So I’ve been rejected again with ridiculous reason i think.

Okay, there is nothing to feel sad of, I must think forward. I’m going to my third proposal!

Before my first proposal, I’ve been working at PT. Indosat for my “Kerja Praktek” subjects. I work there suggested by Mr.Z (another lecturer) for 3 months with friends: Budhi, Gandika, and Johanes. We create BTS and Outlet GIS. 3 month has passed and the system wasn’t complete. Then Mr.Z suggested Johanes to continue the projects as a proposal for his Final Exam.

But Johanes can’t handle it, he was difficult to obtain the data from PT.Indosat. He abort his proposal and try to find another idea. So, I take the Indosat’s project for my third proposal.

Here I go for my third proposal, I’ve registered it and prepare for the test. But Mr.Z can’t attend the test coz he has some business at Batam (damn! not again). And the result is:

Sory again, Your idea can’t be accepted because it was already use for Kerja Praktek’s subject.

WTF!!!!! I’m so unlucky! What’s wrong with Me! I’m depress! I’m confuse! I’m shock! I’m sick of this!

Present

I’m trying to cheer my self up and think forward. I’m not blame anyone and try to think positive. Now I’ve got Idea for forth proposal.

Well, Guess what? I’m gonna propose Tracking System with GPS module this month yay This is also become my project at PT.Indosat. Now I’m digitizing Lombok island into SHP model for GIS application, and here is the progress so far:

I use TatukGIS Editor (don’t slip the word :P) for digitizing the Map. Let’s work hard dude!!

It was happen about 2 weeks ago. Me, Andi and Bawa are playing DotA as usual. Then we get hungry, so we went out and find some food. Yes we’ve got it, but Bawa wants something else…He wants ice cream!

Me n Andi agreed with little shocked, so we start looking ice cream and we found it. I ask vanilla + chocolate fudge flavor in that time, and then we ate it on the way Andi’s home.

Well, it was so damn delicious…So yummy…So sweet…So…good I dunno why, But since that time we’ve become Ice Cream junkie
